New Way to Get Downstairs

Katie is a very creative little girl. She has invented a new way to get down the stairs. Of course this way is much slower so she resorts to slithering down the remaining steps.

Who is this Baby?

Katie looks so different with her hairstyle like this. I almost didn't recognize her!

A Typical Day for Katie

Katie is so busy everyday. She's got plenty of phone calls to return and emails to write.

She gets very tired out by all this "work."

Sometimes she doesn't know where the time goes.

She says you have to step away from all the "work" and chill for a bit to get perspective.

The Huntington Library 5-7-09

It was a very hot day and we were not dressed appropriately for the heat. Some shorts were much needed. Needless to say we did not stay that long.

Katie made it very clear to us that she did not want to sit on David's lap for a picture.

Katie's Hiding Spot

This is one of Katie's favorite hiding spot every day when David comes home from work. When she hears the garage open she starts making "shh" noises and looks for a place to hide.

Burger Nazi

The name of this restaurant was actually just called "Hamburger." As you can tell it was a very tiny store but very popular.

For some reason they had a picture of the Soup Nazi guy from the show "Seinfield." Guess this guy was their idol or something. They sure acted mean to their customers, but the burgers were quite good.

Golden Gate Bridge 5-6-09

On our way to the Golden Gate Bridge we saw this tree shaped as the globe. Very interesting!

It was so cold and foggy you couldn't see anything on the bridge.

This is what Katie did to pass the time on the long drive. She is obviously bored out of her mind here.

Last Night in San Francisco

Katie arranged the pillows like this and then got herself comfy.

When we woke up the sky was clear and we thought it was finally going to be a nice, clear day for us. We were wrong. We were hoping to get some hiking on the last day but it didn't happen.

Japanese Tea Garden

Seems like every city we been to has a Japanese garden. There was one in Golden Gate Park as well.

Twin Peaks 5-5-09

Twin Peaks was this mountain in the middle of the city that you could get a 360 degree view of San Francisco. This picture was taken in front of the John. Inside it actually says the door will automatically open after 20 minutes which was a bit scary...

Ride the Duck Tour

We took a tour of the city by land and by boat.

We had to get a picture of the trolleys.

Katie took David's quacker and put it in her mouth all by herself.

Here is our captain obviously not driving the boat.

That's because David and Katie were steering the boat!

AT&T Park 5-4-09

The Giants weren't playing at home so we had to settle for a tour of the park. We got to see a lot of inside stuff that you normally wouldn't be able to see.

This door was taken from the last game at Candlestick Park which the Gnats used to play at. All the players at the game signed the door and they decided to take it to their new stadium.

This worker at the stadium was famous for collecting bobble heads.

Katie didn't care too much that we were standing on the fields!!

Point Lobos State Reserve

After a long day hiking, we decided to reward ourselves with a sundae from Ghirardelli's. As you can see from the huge smile on Katie's face she was thoroughly happy with this decision.

David and Katie planning our next day's adventure.
