Sophia's 1st Birthday Party 8-11-12

Baby Sophia is growing up! She's already one years old.

My sister Shirley made Sophia's monkey birthday cake. Isn't it so cute!

She also made peanut butter and banana chocolate cupcakes.

Brownies

Every kid left home with cake pops!

SD Zoo & Phil's BBQ 8-4-12

We decided to take the kids to the San Diego Zoo and they absolutely loved it. This was Justin's first trip here.

The zoo is quite beautiful.

We were very lucky to catch the panda being active since it was lunch time. Justin absolutely loves pandas right now. He kept asking for a panda. And when he saw a poster with the panda he told me "panda is very sad." When I asked him why the panda was sad he said "because he wants me." The things he says these days are so cute!!

Look the otter has company!

We've heard so much about Phil's BBQ that we had to try it. We expected a long wait so we came prepared. We got the kids Jamba juice first.

This restaurant was voted top 10 in the USA!

We are finally so close to tasting the food.

David got the full beef rib dinner with corn.

I got the full rib dinner with fries and macaroni salad.

And we got the colossal onion rings.

Overall the food was good but I'm not sure it was worth the 1.5 hour wait. We had to try it at least once but I think we'll stick with Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ. Lucille's cost a little bit more but it's in our backyard and the wait isn't as bad.

Discovery Science Center 8-1-12

Katie's Chinese school had a field trip to the Discovery Science Center so I decided to take Justin there as well. Here is Katie with her best friend Macy and Macy's older sister Sophie.

Those are Justin's little hands.

The pretend grocery store at this place is pretty amazing. I wish it was real so I could shop here!

Woodbridge Community Park 7-29-12

Our neighbors invited us to a bbq at the Woodbridge Community Park and the kids had so much fun here. I never even knew this place existed in Irvine! And we've been living here for 15 years! I told David I need to move into this community. This park is only open to Woodbridge residents.

Katie tried being a good older sister by taking Justin down the slide with her but he was too scared. So he never got to experience the fun.

After dinner the kids got to make smores at the camp fire.

Matching PJ's

I saw these Thomas the Train pajamas on clearance at Old Navy and I had to get them for the kids. These are Justin's first pajamas and he absolutely loves them.
