May's Baby Shower 6-25-11

Here are the kids in front of the clubhouse.

My sister is practicing watching the kids in preparation for her little bundle of joy.

My family is getting out of control.

The dessert bar! There were so many different types of desserts it was so fun grabbing and eating them. My two younger sisters did most of the baking. I contributed lemon bars.

Blueberry Lemon Mini Bundt Cakes

Carrot Mini Bundt Cakes

Strawberry Cupcakes

Choco-Nana Peanut Butter Cupcakes

3 Varieties of Cake Balls: German Chocolate, Lemon, and Red Velvet

2 Kinds of Outrageous Brownies: Plain and with Walnuts

These were the party favors made by my younger sister. They were lemon and red velvet cake pops. So yummy!

It was the cutest thing. Katie actually made a friend while at my sister's baby shower. Here they are playing tether ball together.

Katie and Clover were like peas and carrots that day. Their personalities fit perfectly. Clover was a little bossy which was great for Katie because she tends to be a follower.

Katie had so much fun with Clover she didn't want to leave. Too bad Clover was visiting her grandmother and had to go back to Boston.

JP's Birthday Party 6-18-11

JP's 4th birthday party was at the Kidspace Children's Museum. Katie and Justin had a blast here.

JP wasn't afraid of the tarantula at all.

The kids were digging for dinosaur bones.

Justin found a little friend.

There is Katie's little hand sticking out of the flower.

Katie was really excited to ride this bike. She was the leader of the pack and won the race!

In this game you were suppose to run and jump while holding the cup of water in your hands. Katie decided she was too thirsty to play this silly game and drank it instead!

Jamba Anyone

We have discovered that both kids absolutely love Jamba Juice. Here is Katie drinking an appropriate sized cup.

And here is Justin drinking our cup. He liked it so much he wouldn't give it back to us to share. He would hold onto it and shake his head violently. He was holding onto it so tightly that it took both David and me to pry it out of his hands and when we finally did tears came streaming down his little cheeks as if he was in terrible physical pain. The tears didn't stop until the cup was returned to him. Next time we need to buy 2 drinks, one for us to share with Katie and one for Justin!

Still At It

This is a recent picture of Katie at bedtime. It is reminiscent of a picture I took back in November of 2009. Here is the link to the other picture.

Tustin Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off 6-5-11

We took the kids to the Tustin Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off and it was very crowded. I don't think the kids liked it too much. It wasn't as fun this time around. I'm not sure why. David thinks it was because there were two kiddies this time instead of one. Whatever the reason we won't be coming here again.

Justin's 1st Time Swimming 5-29-11

This was Justin's first time in the pool. He was too young last summer to go.

This was also baby Max's first time in the pool.

The kids absolutely loved playing in the pool. They had so much fun they didn't want to leave.

After swimming the kids got cleaned up, had some dinner and went right back out to the park to swing.

Just Like Katie

Justin wants to be just like his big sister Katie. He sees Katie wearing her Hello Kitty slippers around the house and so I find him trying to put them on his feet when she's not wearing them but he can't. So he figured out a way he can wear them.

Dare Devil

I don't know if it's just the difference between genders or what but Justin is much more of a dare devil than Katie ever was. Katie is still scared to do things on her own but Justin wants to explore and climb whatever he can. I constantly find him pushing things so that he can reach things that are above him.
