San Clemente State Beach 5-28-12

We took the kids to the beach this memorial weekend and surprisingly it wasn't too crowded which was good for us. The kids had a blast playing in the sand.

For lunch we went to Pizza Port. We love their pizzas.

This is half a pizza Carlsbad and half a pizza Solana.

Children's Night 5-23-12

It was children's night at Katie's school so my sister and I took Justin to see some of the things Katie is learning. This was Katie's caterpillar. Apparently every student had their own caterpillar in which they drew drawings on the body of the caterpillar to remind them of the work they wanted to show us. The first circle is the face of the caterpillar which stood for metal inset, the second one is leaf cabinet, the next one is object box, and the last one is deca beads.

This was called the object box. Basically she identifies which label belongs to which object.

This was the leaf cabinet. It seems to be a puzzle with different leaf shapes.

Play Date with Max 5-18-12

My sister had the day off today so she came down to visit so the kids could play together. And since we are both in love with Bruxie we decided to take the kids there for some yummy waffle sandwiches. We get there and it took us forever to find parking. I was ready to call it quits so many times but luckily we finally found parking and then stood in line. We both were ready to call this our farewell to Bruxie lunch until the food came. Bruxie is so good we aren't ready to call it quits. We'll just have to come earlier to beat the crowds and find parking.

The green eggs and ham is so darn good we ordered 3 of them.

We thought we ordered 2 waffle fries but when our order came there were no fries. We of course asked the server where our yummy fries were and he said he would go check on it. He came back with 2 fries and informed us they were on the house since the server didn't hear us order it. I'm liking Bruxie even more!

Nutella & Bananas. It was alright.

Belgian chocolate Bruxie sundae. Now this was amazingly good!! 

 This is what happens when boys play together. They destroy everything in their path. It looks like a tornado went through my house.

The kids playing with chalk on our driveway when David got home from work. I have trained my kids well. They know not to ask me to take them outside to play. They know to wait and ask David to do it.

Happy Mother's Day 5-13-12

For Mother's Day Katie made me a flower pen and a picture of herself. She also sang me a special song.

Katie's New Purse

Auntie Shirley gave Katie this purse. Here she is modeling it with her signature pose. Every time you tell Katie to smile this is the face you get.

Katie has stashed all the necessities one would need in her purse. She's got her head band, wallet with toy money, a pizza and an egg because you never know when you'll be hungry! My kids come prepared.

Justin's Cool New Car

Justin and I have become friends with one of Katie's fellow classmates' mom. She has a son named Jonah and he is about 5 months younger than Justin. So one day we get to school to pick Katie up and Jonah has a cool toy car. Justin sees the car and is so distraught over the fact that he doesn't have one that he can't even look at Jonah or his mom. Justin jumps into my arms and buries his head in my shoulder until we get Katie and go home. So the next day we come to school and now Jonah has 2 cool cars! Justin of course gets immediately sad and Jonah's mom rushes over to tell him that the red car is actually for him. She says Jonah chose the red one to give to Justin. Justin is instantly happy and wouldn't let the car out of his sight.

Cousin Max Visits 5-5-12

Every now and then David and I would question having a third child and today we got to see what it would be like to have 3 kids running around the house. It actually wasn't that bad but I think we are going to stick with two kids.

We took the kids to the park and Justin insisted on pushing Max on the swing.

Kids can spend the entire day at the park if you let them.

After their naps the kids played outside with the sand box we got them.

For lunch the next day we went to Bruxie since my sister had never tried it. We got a strawberry and mint chocolate shake. Both were very yummy!

Turkey Club

Hot Pastrami Bruxie. We all agreed this one was not their best. It was a little too salty.
