My sister has been dying to try Jazz Cat in San Gabriel Valley and so we went for lunch over the weekend. It did not disappoint.
I got a Japanese sukiyaki broth.
She got the Jazz Cat special.
There was so much delicious beef!
Afterwards we went to Fluff Ice for some shaved ice.
This is a milk fluff. We both agree the milk fluff was way better. Next time we'll skip the shaved ice.

My Two Little Doggies
Ever since meeting Dana, my sister's dog, Justin has been obsessed with being a dog himself. He even would show me the tricks he can do. He would crawl over to me and say "I'm a little doggie."
Homemade Gnocchi
I was inspired by a video on how to make the perfect gnocchi by Fabio Viviani. It looked so quick and easy. So I set out to make it this past weekend. In the beginning I was ready to scrap the whole thing and call it a disaster. The dry ingredients would not mix with the potatoes to make the dough. Thankfully I kept at it and gnocchi was formed.
That pile are potatoes that would not stay inside the dough.
Here are my perfect little gnocchi.
Fabio did not have much of a sauce for this dish. All it required was garli, oil, and chili flakes. Big mistake. All my hard work in making the gnocchi and then the sauce did me in. It was very bland. Next time I'm going to make a sauce with it.

Break of Dawn & Treasure Island Beach 2-19-12
We had breakfast at Break of Dawn in Laguna Beach because it was voted the #1 breakfast place in Orange County. The atmosphere is very nice and interesting. I can't say the same for the food. The food was neither good nor bad. It was alright but it was definitely not worth the price. Needless to say we won't be coming back here again.
Sausage and Rice
French Toast Creme Brulee
Cinnamon Bun
After breakfast we took the kids to Treasure Island Beach. This beach was very nice. I love the fresh sea air. And the kids loved walking around.
It was a day of feasting and we ended the day at 101 Noodle Express. Now this was good food!

Bruxie 2-11-12
I really wanted to try their Valentine's Day specials. Too bad they don't have these items regularly.
Strawberry Cheesecake
Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Shake (This was so good! Wish we had gotten 2 of them so we didn't have to share.)
When we got home it was time for Justin to take his nap. Only he didn't want to take his nap. He cried and cried and then eventually cried himself to sleep on the floor next to the bed.

Sprinkles Cupcakes
If you liked Sprinkles Cupcakes on Facebook you got a buy one get one free coupon. So my sister Tracey was the first to pick up her goodies. She got pumpkin and raspberry chocolate chip. They both were delicious!
So the next day I told David I had to redeem mine and his coupons. First we took the kids to Fashion Island to see the Koi pond. Of course Justin was exhausted by the time we got there and fell asleep.
When he woke up we took a free trolley around the shopping center.
And then we went to get my yummy Sprinkles. When we got there we saw this line out the door. And David did not want to stand in the line to get them, but of course I told him if we go home now you're taking me back again tomorrow. Needless to say I convinced him to stay. The line went surprisingly fast.
We got vanilla milk chocolate, salty caramel, raspberry chocolate chip, and a black and white cupcake.
After eating all that cupcakes we are sick of cupcakes. No more Sprinkles for us!
