Thanksgiving 11-25-11
We went to my sister's house for Thanksgiving and the kids loved all the "new" toys she had. Here Katie is practicing her singing skills.
And here she is playing guitars with Johny.
While the kids are having fun there is a lot of cooking going on in the kitchen.
Auntie May and her baby Sophia. Sophia is already flashing everyone! Look at that cute tush!
What an adorable hat on the little rabbit baby.
Katie with Grandma
The massive 22 pound turkey!
My mom's lasagna
Artichoke stuffing
Swiss chard mac n cheese
Sweet potatoes
Green beans
Cranberry sauce
Honey Baked ham

Kitchen Remodel November 2011
Before: A very dark and old looking kitchen.
Day 1: Demolition
Day 2: The tile backsplash was super glued to the wall or something so he had to literally cut the tiles off and our walls with it.
Day 3: We have walls again!
Day 4: Freshly painted.
Day 5: Our new cabinets are coming in!
Day 6-10: We have cabinets and a countertop!
So it really only took 11 working days to get this kitchen finished but it took 3 whole weeks because apparently contractors don't like working every day. They especially seem to like to take Fridays off. Either way the kitchen is done and I am happy with the end result. I can finally see when I cook!
