Disneyland and California Adventure 8-29-11

We took the kids to Disneyland and California Adventure this time to celebrate David's birthday. Here is Katie and David riding Autopia. David is the person waving in the blue and white striped shirt.

This Matterhorn macaroon from the Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street was so good!

Toy Story Mania in California Adventure was so fun we went on it twice. Even the kids enjoyed this one.

The first time we went on this ride Justin slept through the entire ride so I had to play it with only one hand. The second time around was much better.

Justin was waving "hi" to the people next to us.

David is super dad carrying both kids in his arms.

Katie took this picture all by herself. She did pretty good.

To celebrate David's special day he wanted to try the all you can eat barbeque at Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue. Overall consensus was the food was good but definitely not worth the price. There is no way you can get your money's worth especially with two kids acting up at the end of a very, very long day.

Justin started entertaining himself with this cloth napkin. He kept throwing it over his shoulders like it was a cape.

Karina's Birthday Party at Chuck E. Cheese's 8-28-11

Katie got invited to a classmate's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's and she actually played with her classmate. It took her awhile but by the end of the party she was running around and playing with Karina. There is hope she will grow out of her shyness.

Going for a Ride

Justin wanted to ride Katie's tricycle so she let him join her.

Katie Uses Chopsticks 8-15-11

David's mom got Katie these chopsticks from Taiwan and I finally decided to let her give them a try after bugging me for so long and she did great! She got everything in her mouth and not on the table or floor.

Disneyland 8-13-11

We took the kids to Disneyland for the first time and they absolutely LOVED it!!

We got them matching strollers.

This was Katie's first roller coaster ride ever. It was the Astro Orbitor. She was really scared in the beginning. She didn't even want to get in line but we convinced her and she loved it once it was over.

All smiles on her face.

The little ball of hair in the center of my shirt is actually the top of Justin's head. That's all you could see of him.

In line at It's a Small World. The lines were the worst part of the trip. They weren't too long but the kids couldn't take any waiting especially Justin.

Hamburger

Justin loves food. Here he is drooling over a toy hamburger Katie put together for him. She even included all the fixings!

Mini Me

Like father like son. Justin and David are wearing matching outfits and they are so cute together.

Newport Beach 8-7-11

We decided to take the kids back to the beach and this time we biked there from our house. Man I was not fully prepared for what was ahead of me. First we biked to a local bread store for breakfast and a nice break. Everything was all good at this point.

Outside the bread store we were all smiles.

Things started going downhill after the bread store. Man it was a long bike ride to the ferry on Balboa Island. There were many times were I didn't think I was going to make it.

Waiting for the next ferry boat.

We made it to the beach at last and met up with James and Lily and their kids. I think it took us like 2 hours or something to get here.

Katie had a blast helping to bury JP and friends in the sand.

The bike ride home was no blast either. Here David is walking down the mountain ahead of us. Okay so it really wasn't a mountain but it sure felt like it!

Picnic

David had a craving for the Kogi BBQ Truck so we decided to get it for lunch. Surprisingly the line wasn't that bad. We think it's because it was during lunch and not many people know about this location. Whatever the reason it worked out for us because we got the food very quickly.

Justin didn't last long in this stroller. He saw where Katie was and wanted to join her.

If you can't tell this is the trunk of our car. The kids didn't like Kogi that much. Next time we'll have to pack something separate for them to eat.

David chowing down on a taco.
