Restaurant in Tayih Landis Hotel

This was a very nice restaurant. We had our own private room and server.

Grandpa, Great Aunt, Daddy, Great Grandpa, Mommy, and Katie

Katie was letting everyone know that she was ready for some food.

Katie loved "jie jie." She would follow her around and try to tell her what to do even though they didn't speak the same language.

Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tainan. It was very nice and had great service. The complimentary buffet is really good too.

The first thing that caught Katie's eye in the room was the pen and paper on the night stand. She loves pen and paper these days.

Finally a big bed. In Japan we had two small twin beds.

The absolutely best part: a standing shower with a door!! It can't get better than this.

High Speed Rail

David was very excited about the high speed rail. That's all he could talk about before the trip. He couldn't wait to try it. It did make getting to Tainan much faster.

Last Dinner with David's Family in Taipei

Auntie Hoyt, Great Auntie Sophia, Auntie Julia, Katie, Me, and Auntie Shirley.

Flower Greenhouse

David's uncle took us to a flower greenhouse. I'd never seen so many different shades of orchids. They were very pretty. Katie loved walking through the rows and rows of flowers.

Taoban House

This place was so good. You get about 5 courses and every one of them was delicious. I told David he has to take me back here in the future.

This appetizer was a seafood fruit salad.

This was a very good mulberry wine according to David and my sister.

The steaks were super soft and good.

And for desert a black and white mousse.

This was my sister's rose green tea.

Otaru

We took a day trip to Otaru. It is a very cute little town near Sapporo. They are known for their glass making. Too bad we couldn't take any pictures of it. They were very pretty.

Crab Shabu Shabu

The seating in this restaurant was very unique. I don't remember what it was called but we liked it a lot.

The crab shabu shabu was really very delicious!
