Samo's Clubhouse 1-16-12

We took the kids to Santa Monica on David's second day off work. But before we let the kids run around we needed some coffee to start us off. We went to Caffe Luxxe to visit my sister. Here are our drinks and a scone. It was amazing watching the barista do the latte art. She was so quick and did it all in a matter of seconds.

The kids got orange juice.

Auntie Shirley with her cappuccino.

After lunch we went to Sweet Rose Creamery for dessert. We shared a banana split. Surprisingly neither kids liked it so it was up to me and David to eat it.

Inside Santa Monica Place is Samo's Clubhouse. This play area is huge. You can't tell but that structure is actually a huge whale. The kids absolutely loved this place. Katie didn't want to leave.

Rachel's B-day Party at Pump It Up 1-14-12

Katie attended her classmate's birthday party at Pump It Up and had a blast. The party was held in 2 rooms and each room had at least 3 huge jumpers with a variety of obstacles and slides.

Even David and Justin joined in on the fun.

Rachel, the birthday girl, is Katie's best friend even though she doesn't know it.

David, Katie, and Justin are in this picture even though you can't see Justin. David is looking down at him trying to get up.

Justin finally makes it over with some help.

Legoland 1-13-12

After working crazy hours and pulling an all-nighter at Broacom, David finally took some time off (and by this I mean 2 days) to spend with his much neglected kids. On the first day we took them to Legoland for the first time.

Poor Justin looking from behind the gate at Katie having so much fun.

Katie earned her driver's license!

This sad room was probably the most fun Justin had up to this point. This nursing room was really nice. It had a private nursing area, a separate changing station, and this huge lego table for kids to play with.

Lunch time!!

I love watching Justin eat these days. He is so cute!

Oh no! This shark ate my entire family!

Katie trying desperately to crawl out of the shark's mouth.

One of the few rides Justin was actually able to ride.

The kids love this area. You got to build your own race car and race it against other kids.

David is fixing his car because it wasn't fast enough.

Justin begging David to let him go on a ride.

Wish granted!

Overall, I think Legoland is best when the kids are at least 3 years old or 34-36 inches. A lot of the rides aren't even that scary but Legoland is very strict and kids under 34 inches cannot ride on most of the rides. Justin was able to go on more rides at Disneyland and those rides actually went a lot higher. Even though he couldn't go on most of the rides he still had fun and still asks to go back.
