Boston Children's Museum 3-26-11

On our first real day in Boston we decided to take the kids to the Boston Children's Museum. The kids absolutely loved this place. If you are ever in Boston and have kids you have to take them here. It is 3 stories with a whole bunch of different playrooms. We were here from 10 am to 3 pm and Katie didn't want to leave.

Here is a picture of Boston's skyline.

Hood seems to be the popular brand of milk in Boston. There is a huge Hood milk building in front of the Boston Children's Museum.

Once you enter the museum there is this huge maze for the kids to play in. It spans the entire 3 stories of the museum.

Katie was a little scared to go in the maze at first.

But by the end of the day she absolutely loved it. We didn't think she would make it to the 2nd level but she surprised us by going up all 3 levels!! We were worried she wouldn't be able to find her way back down but she surprised us again. And the minute she came down she said she wanted to go back up. I wish I had gotten a picture of how proud David looked when she emerged from the maze.

This is the bubble room. The kid behind David is enclosing himself in a huge bubble.

This was the camping room. There is a huge tent for the kids to play in.

This is the construction room.

This is the grocery store.

After the museum we had to visit Harvard University. Harvard is a really nice campus. Brick buildings are so pretty.

Here is an aspiring Harvard student.

Near the university is a huge Curious George store.

This George doll was almost as big as Katie.

For dinner we ate at Cambridge 1 near Harvard. Justin seems to want a sip of David's beer.

This is a grilled chicken, roasted red pepper, mozzarella, and romano pizza. David liked it but I needed more dough. It was a very thin pizza.

After dinner we headed over to Mike's Pastry. This place was crazy busy! The line was practically all the way to the end of the block.

Luckily the lines moved super fast and we emerged with our box of goodies.

Mike's Pastry has so many different kinds of cannolis it was hard to choose. They were absolutely delicious! David even liked them and he's not a fan of sweets or cannolis.
