Yilan 4-6-12

This is the first time we went back to Taiwan and actually visited different places. We decided to go to a hot spring and it was so relaxing and tranquil here minus the screaming kids. When we first got to the hotel Justin was still sleeping.

So David and Katie participated in a bamboo wind chime class.

Katie hard at work.

After several tries David finally asked the instructor for some help.

Katie with her finished product.

The amazing infinity pool! The views were absolutely gorgeous!

This hotel is actually quite old but they did a good job of maintaining it.

There was a kids play room and Justin had no qualms about joining another family in the train station.

David was trying to teach Katie how to play pool but she was actually more interested in just holding the pool stick.

For lunch we went into town and got sweet and sour soup.

Fried dumplings.

Boiled dumplings.

Behind me was this huge mound of dumpling meat and the worker was just making dumplings by the handfuls.

The kids waiting to get into the pools.

Katie just started hugging Justin on her own and I had to get the camera to catch it on film.

The highlight of the hot springs was the fish spa! I was so excited when I found out about this fish spa. Basically you put your feet into the water and the fish eat away your dead skin. I read that you leave with baby soft feet. The minute David put his feet in the water the fish swarmed over.

I had quite a few biters too. The fish biting didn't hurt but it tickled like crazy! I was laughing so hard everyone was looking at me. It took me four tries but after that I was a pro. At first David thought the fish really weren't doing anything. However, the next day we didn't get any biters because the fish had cleaned our skin the previous day. My feet are still pretty soft two weeks later!

Justin absolutely loved this individual clay pot. He wouldn't leave it. Katie would go out into the other hot springs but Justin was perfectly content in here.

The view from our hotel room.

The hotel provides you with these robes and slippers that you can walk around in and so here we are modeling them.

Katie did a pretty good job of taking this picture for us.

Good bye Yilan. Hope to see you again soon!! I can't wait to go back to the fish spa. That was the best part!
