Denver Zoo 10-9-11

We read that the highlight of Colorado was the Denver Zoo. So of course we had to take the kids there. Here are some of the animals we saw.

There was this thing where you could see how far you could jump. I made it 6 feet to jack rabbit.

David made it 7 feet to kangaroo rat.

Katie made it 2 feet to spider.

And Justin remained on start.

Justin fell asleep on the car ride to Biker Jim's Restaurant so we ate in the car.

Here is Katie drinking lemonade. The kids love lemonade.

This is the usual reindeer with deep fried mac n cheese. Yes we ate a reindeer. Well I took a bite of it. Reindeer meat is not good at all. It's quite mushy.

This is the usual southwest buffalo with a side of fries. This hot dog was very good.

We also got the charred tahini cauliflower and a salad. The cauliflower was really good. I wanted more.

To top off our meal we got the all natural fountain soda made with pure cane sugar. The cherry coke wasn't very good but the root beer was super good.

All in all this was probably one of the best meals we had in Colorado. If you ever go to Denver you have to check this place out. We pretty much ate everything up and that was a lot of food!

For dinner we went to Taki Sushi. I thought this place was ok but David did not like it at all.

The kids split chicken udon.

We also got them a side of shrimp and vegetable tempura.

David and I had this. We got tuna, salmon, rainbow roll, golden roll, and sunflower roll.

When we were leaving we saw this interesting contraption outside. It's called the "Pedal Hopper" and it seems like all the passengers help make it go.
